Corner Deli & Bakery is our demo deli, set up in Next. Every screen on this page is real. How Corner Deli & Bakery runs its walk-ins
A busy lunch rush. Three at the counter, a dozen waiting.
They take a number.
The sign by the counter has one QR code. Customers scan it, type a name and they have a number. Nothing to pick, no paper ticket.
Whoever is free behind the counter takes the next number.

They keep shopping.
The smart pass shows their number and a real wait, and it updates on its own. Customers finish their shopping instead of crowding the counter.
When it’s their turn, the pass turns green and says so. It works in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and in ten languages.
You tap Notify for the next number.
The counter sees every number waiting and how long it’s waited. Tap Notify and their pass calls them up. Tap Done when the order is handed over.
Counter staff mark themselves Here, On break or Off, and the waits follow.

You see the whole counter from your pocket.
Customers per day, average wait, walk-aways and your busiest hours, so you staff the lunch rush right.
After the visit, customers rate it. You see stars and comments for the counter.
The money
Texting walk-ins costs too much. So we don’t.
A busy deli counter sees 200 walk-ins a day. A texting app sends each one about three texts. At 3¢ a text, 26 days a month, that’s the bill before the app’s own plan. Next sends no texts: the smart pass does that job, with nothing per message and no number to give.
a year, at 200 walk-ins a day
a year for everything. $0 in texts, ever.
A texting app’s published US price of 3¢ a text, October 2026.
Built for how deli counters work
Everything a deli counter needs. Nothing it doesn’t.
No paper rolls and no number display to fix. Customers carry their number.
No crowd at the counter. Customers finish their shopping while they wait.
Someone walks up without scanning? Add them with a tap and call their name out loud as always.
Each customer sees the pass in their own language.
Your sign, your banner and your colors on every pass.
Name your counter, print the sign. No tablet, no contract.
