Sale weekend. Five associates, every one with a shopper.
They take a number.
The sign at the entrance has one QR code. Shoppers scan it, type a name and they’re in. Nothing to pick.
Every associate sells everything, so whoever is free next takes the next shopper in order.

They keep browsing.
The smart pass shows their place and a real wait, and it updates on its own. Shoppers try mattresses and sit on sofas instead of hovering at the front.
When an associate is free, the pass turns green and says so. It works in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and in ten languages.
The next free associate takes the next shopper.
Your floor sees everyone waiting and how long they’ve waited. Tap Notify and their pass tells them to meet their associate at the front. Tap Serving when the associate takes them and Done when they leave.
Associates mark themselves Here, On break or Off, and the rotation follows. It’s the up system, without the up board.

You see the whole floor from your pocket.
Shoppers per day and per associate, average wait, walk-aways and your busiest hours, so you staff Saturdays and holiday sales right.
After the visit, shoppers rate it. You see stars and comments for each associate.
The money
Texting walk-ins costs too much. So we don’t.
A busy showroom sees 40 walk-ins a day. A texting app sends each one about three texts. At 3¢ a text, 26 days a month, that’s the bill before the app’s own plan. Next sends no texts: the smart pass does that job, with nothing per message and no number to give.
a year, at 40 walk-ins a day
a year for everything. $0 in texts, ever.
A texting app’s published US price of 3¢ a text, October 2026.
