Terms of Service
Plain words on purpose. If something here is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.
1. Who we are, and agreeing to this
HellaGood Next ("HellaGood", "we", "us") is based in California. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the service for a business, you confirm you can bind that business to these terms.
2. What the service is
A walk-in line for a shop. A web app for the business and its team, pages guests open on their own phone after scanning the shop's sign, wait times, star ratings, and Ask AI Help, an automated chat that answers questions about the app.
It is a tool that helps you run a line. It does not serve anyone, promise anyone a service or a time, or decide who goes next. Those are your calls.
3. Your account and your team
You are responsible for your account, for anyone you add to your team, and for what they do in the app. Keep your sign-in details, and your team's, private, and tell us right away if you think an account has been used without permission.
One login per person, and one shop per login. Roles control what each person can see and change; the owner is responsible for the business.
4. Your plan and billing
Every new shop gets 14 days free, with no card. After that the plan is $19.95 a month billed monthly, or $168 a year billed yearly ($14 a month), per location, in advance through our payment processor, with no limit on guests or team members.
You can cancel any time from your Billing page. Your plan keeps running to the end of the period you paid for.
If your free trial ends, or a payment does not go through, your line stops taking new guests until the plan is paid. Nothing is deleted while it is paused.
Prices are shown on our site and can change. We will tell you before a change affects what you pay.
5. Your guests
Guests join your line on our pages by scanning your sign and giving a name or initials. You decide who is served and when; we keep the line.
Use the line to serve the people in it and nothing else. No marketing, no bulk messages, no adding guests to other lists without their own consent. You are responsible for following local rules about the information you take from it.
If someone brings a claim against us because of how you or your team used the service, or anything you put in front of guests, you will cover our costs, including reasonable legal fees, and you will handle it with us.
6. Ask AI Help
Ask AI Help is an automated chat. It can be wrong. Its answers are not promises about how the app or your day will go, and you decide what to act on.
7. The API and MCP
Paid plans can read their own shop from outside the app, through our API and our MCP server, with a key the owner makes in the app. Access is read-only unless we say otherwise, and it is included in the plan.
Your key is yours to protect. Anything done with it counts as done by you. Keep it secret, keep it out of web pages and shared devices, and if it is lost or exposed, revoke it in the app at once and make another. We are not liable for the loss, exposure or misuse of a key, or for anything read or done with it, by anyone.
Guest names and comments are personal data. What the API returns about your guests you may use only to run your shop, lawfully, and never to sell, share or build profiles. The tools you connect, and what an AI does with what it reads, are your responsibility, not ours.
We can limit, suspend or revoke access to the API or MCP for any shop, at any time, for any reason, with or without notice — misuse, abuse, load, a security concern, or simply because we decide to. We can also change, rate-limit, add to or retire any part of it. We will try to give notice of changes that break something, but we do not promise to.
The API and MCP are provided as is, like the rest of the service, and section 11 applies to them in full, including to any unauthorized access to data through them.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to harass anyone, to collect information you have no right to, to interfere with the service, or to do anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
9. What you upload
Your logo, your shop's name and the words on your sign stay yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to your guests and team, and nothing more. You confirm you have the right to use them. We can take anything down, at any time.
10. Availability
We work hard to keep the service up. It is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. It can go down or behave in a way you did not expect, and you should be able to keep serving people without it — call the next person in the shop the way you always have.
11. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost business arising from the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. That limit covers every kind of claim together, including anything to do with data, security or a breach.
Things outside our control are outside our liability: the internet, your connection, your devices, power, a failure at any of the providers we rely on, or anything else we cannot reasonably control. We protect your data as described in our Privacy Policy, but no system is completely secure. If we learn of a breach affecting you, we will tell you and do what the law requires.
Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as they can.
12. Your data, and ending things
Your line and your reviews are yours. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about your business. If you close your account or we do, we delete your business data within 90 days, except where we must keep it by law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the change.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you agree to that venue.
