Ironwood Tattoo Co. is our demo tattoo shop, set up in Next. Every screen on this page is real. How Ironwood Tattoo Co. runs its walk-ins
Walk-in day. Four artists, every chair busy.
They pick their artist.
The sign by the door has one QR code. Walk-ins scan it, pick Rafa, Jess, Kai, Dom or next available, and type a name. Each artist shows their own wait.
No sign-up sheet on a clipboard, and nobody asking the room who’s up next.

They wait anywhere.
The smart pass shows their place and a real wait for that artist, and it updates on its own. They can grab food or look through the flash and come back when it’s time.
When their artist is ready, the pass turns green and says so. It works in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and in ten languages.
Each artist calls their own next client.
Nobody has to run the front. Each artist calls their next client from their own device between pieces, or the front desk calls everyone.
Artists mark themselves Here, On break or Off, and the waits follow.

You see the whole shop from your pocket.
Clients per artist, average wait, walk-aways and your busiest hours, so you know when walk-in days pay off.
After the session, clients rate it. You see stars and comments for each artist.
The money
Texting walk-ins costs too much. So we don’t.
A busy tattoo shop sees 30 walk-ins on a walk-in day. A texting app sends each one about three texts. At 3¢ a text, 26 days a month, that’s the bill before the app’s own plan. Next sends no texts: the smart pass does that job, with nothing per message and no number to give.
a year, at 30 walk-ins a day
a year for everything. $0 in texts, ever.
A texting app’s published US price of 3¢ a text, October 2026.
Built for how tattoo shops work
Everything a tattoo shop needs. Nothing it doesn’t.
Run a walk-in Saturday or a flash day without a clipboard or a crowd at the door.
Clients see who’s quickest, or wait for the artist they came for.
Each artist signs in on their own and handles their own clients. You still see every artist’s numbers and stars.
Someone walks up without scanning? Add them with a tap.
Your sign, your banner and your colors on every pass.
Name your shop, add your artists, print the sign. No tablet, no contract.
